Snow Plowing, Roof Raking & Ice Dam Removal in Southern New Hampshire & Southern Maine
Driveways, parking lots, walkways, and roofs, cleared and kept safe all winter. One local team for the ground and the roof.
- Licensed & insured in NH & ME
- Free estimates
A New England winter does not stop at the driveway. Heavy snow piles up on the roof, meltwater refreezes at the eaves, and a slick walkway turns into a liability overnight. Nova handles all of it: plowing and salting on the ground, and careful snow and ice removal up top.
We are a roofing company first, so we know what a roof can handle and what damages it. That matters when someone is pulling snow off your shingles or working on an ice dam. Homeowners and commercial property managers both use the same simple process: request a free estimate, and we will walk your property and talk through service options that fit.
Snow and Ice Services We Offer
Ground services keep people moving safely. Roof services protect the building. Most properties need some of both.
Residential Snow Plowing
Driveway plowing so you can get out in the morning and get home at night without shoveling your way in.
- Driveways and turnarounds
- Clearing in front of garage doors
- Service options discussed during your estimate
Commercial Snow Plowing
Parking lots, drive lanes, and access points cleared so customers, tenants, and employees can get in safely.
- Parking lots and drive lanes
- Retail, office, and multifamily properties
- Seasonal or per-storm options discussed up front
Salting & Ice Management
Treating driveways, lots, walkways, and steps to cut down on ice and slip hazards after a storm and during refreezes.
- Driveways, lots, and walkways
- Steps and entrances
- Follow-up treatment during freeze and thaw cycles
Roof Shoveling
Removing heavy snow loads from roofs by hand, working from the top down and leaving a protective layer so shingles are not scraped or torn.
Roof Raking
Pulling snow off the lower edge of the roof to reduce the meltwater that feeds ice dams, using methods that keep the shingles intact.
Ice Dam Removal
Opening up channels and removing ice buildup at the eaves so trapped water can drain instead of backing up under the shingles and into your ceilings.
Ice dam already leaking?
Water coming through a ceiling or wall during a thaw is a sign of an active ice dam. Call us so we can clear the ice and check for damage to the roof and interior.
Not sure which option fits your home? We will walk you through it.
Why Snow Management Matters
Safer walkways and lots
Clear, treated surfaces reduce slips and falls for your family, customers, and employees.
Protection from roof leaks
Removing snow and ice at the eaves helps stop meltwater from backing up under the shingles and staining ceilings and walls.
Less strain on the structure
Heavy, wet snow adds real weight. Taking it off at the right time reduces stress on older roofs, porches, and flat sections.
No climbing ladders yourself
Roof work in winter is dangerous. Leave the ice, the height, and the cold to a crew that does roof work every day.
One call for ground and roof
Plowing, salting, and roof snow removal from the same team means fewer contractors to chase after every storm.

Snow Management Questions
Do you plow commercial parking lots?
Yes. We handle both residential driveways and commercial properties such as retail lots, offices, and multifamily buildings. Request a free estimate and we will walk the property and talk through service options.
Do you offer seasonal contracts or per-storm service?
We discuss service options during your estimate, including seasonal and per-storm arrangements, and recommend what makes sense for your property. Everything is put in writing before the season starts.
How do ice dams form?
Heat escaping from the living space warms the roof and melts snow. The meltwater runs down to the colder eaves and refreezes into a ridge of ice. More meltwater pools behind that ridge and can back up under the shingles and leak into the house.
When should I have my roof raked or shoveled?
After heavy snowfall, especially when snow builds up along the eaves, on low-pitch sections, or on older roofs. Taking snow off before it melts and refreezes reduces the water that feeds ice dams.
Can you remove ice dams without damaging my roof?
Yes. We use methods that protect your shingles instead of chipping away at the ice. The goal is to open drainage channels and remove ice without tearing or cracking the roofing below.
How is snow management priced?
Pricing depends on the size and layout of your driveway, lot, walkways or roof, the services you need, and whether you choose seasonal or per-storm service. We price each property after a free walkthrough, so you know the cost before the first storm.
